SEO Articles, The Easy Way

Writing for the web is a strange business.  Whilst the marvellous Google Panda update means that keyword stuffing is no longer necessary (praise the lord), there are still criteria that need to be filled.  Shorter paragraphs, two or three backlinks and a focused and specific topic are all essential.  That’s why I’ve come up with this simple structure guide for anyone seeking to create an SEO-focused article quickly and easily.

INTRO PARAGRAPH.  Needless to say, any piece of writing should have it’s beginning, middle and end.  Around fifty words or so, the introduction paragraph should establish what this article will be about and why you’re writing it.  No more, no less.  If you have a keyword, use it once in this paragraph and no more than that.

CENTRAL PARAGRAPHS.  Ideally, there should be around three central paragraphs as part of the article, all of them between fifty and one hundred words.  The aim is for each paragraph to make a concise point.  If you’re writing an article about the best five guitar makers for instance (I’m not obsessed with guitars, honestly), you simply want to name the brand, give a brief history and perhaps a famous customer of theirs.  Be strict with yourself and don’t waffle on: this isn’t a Dickens novel!

CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH.  All good things must come to an end, so finish your article by stating where the reader might find out more information on the matter, and the contact details for the company that the article is promoting (if indeed there is one).

That’s all there is to it.  Keep it short, sharp and preferably entertaining (no-one wants to be bored stupid), and you can’t go too far wrong.
